“ I chose to use Jo for my child because of her experience in teaching traumatised and SEN children. My child chose her because Jo recognised some snail Minecraft Wild Life in their room :-)
Jo has been working with my autistic/ADHD/PDA 14 year old for a few months. Due to school trauma, it can take a while for my child to trust people, but Jo ended up chatting to them for 1.5 hours on their trial session!
My child has been out of formal education for many years, so initially Jo worked closely with me and their other EOTAS providers to learn about their skills, interests, their SEMH needs and any previous barriers to engagement.
It is normal for my child to occasionally disengage due to overwhelm or physical/mental health issues, but this hasn't put Jo off. She has gone at my child's pace, letting them know she is available if they feel up to a session. Disengagement doesn't last for long, as Jo has a knack of using my child's interests to find novel and fun ways to re-engage with them.
Jo is organised, dedicated, punctual, and a very caring and compassionate teacher. She will think outside of the box to find what works, and enjoys the challenge. If you choose Jo to support your child, rest assured she will put her all into it. Thanks Jo xx"

“Jo is absolutely incredible with our PDA son! She has a deep understanding of our son's unique needs, she provides a bespoke education which is fun and engaging. Jo is kind, positive and enthusiastic and our son really enjoys his time with her. Jo is a great support to our family and we feel so lucky to have her as part of our Son's EOTAS team. I cannot thank her enough for everything she does.”
